Days 1-2: Chiang Rai | Discovering Cultural Gems Amid Scenic Beauty

Nestled beside the Mae Kok River and surrounded by mountains, Chiang Rai, Thailand's northernmost province, boasts an array of cultural and natural attractions. Today, immerse yourself in the city's highlights, starting with a visit to the iconic Wat Phra Keo, home to one of Thailand's most significant Buddha images. Continue to the Rai Mae Fah Luang Museum, set within a cultural park, housing a vast collection of ancient artifacts from the Lanna Kingdom. Finally, stop at Wat Ruang Khun, the renowned ‘White Temple’, distinguished by its striking all-white façade and built in 1997.

Day 3: Chiang Rai – Chiang Khong/Huay Xai Border – Pakbeng | A Riverine

Journey into Local Life Cross the border at Chiang Khong into Huay Xai, the capital of Bokeo Province deep within the Golden Triangle. Here, board the luxurious Le Grand cruise boat and enjoy a scenic cruise along the Mekong River. After an hour, disembark at a traditional village to witness authentic rural life along the Mekong. Day 4: Pakbeng – Pak Ou – Luang Prabang | Exploring Sacred Caves and Traditional Villages

After a restful night, we board Le Grand again for the second leg of our journey through pristine forests and riverside villages. Our day includes a visit to a Hmong village and its temples, followed by a leisurely lunch onboard. We’ll then explore the awe-inspiring Pak Ou caves, a significant pilgrimage site filled with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha images accumulated over centuries. The day concludes with our arrival at Le Calao pier in Luang Prabang just as the sun begins to set.
