Itinerary Summary

Days 1–2: Arrival in Bangkok | Grand Palace & Thai Silk Heritage

Arrive in Bangkok and enjoy free time to explore. The next day, visit the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, home to the Emerald Buddha. Continue to the Jim Thompson House and meet local artisans preserving traditional Thai silk-making.

Day 3: Bangkok | Urban Art & Thai Painting Workshop

Discover Bangkok’s street art with an art historian, then visit the Khlong Bang Luang Artist House. Join a hands-on workshop to learn traditional Thai painting techniques and create your own art piece.

Day 4: Bangkok | Pottery & Coconut Sweets on Koh Kred

Take a peaceful boat trip to Koh Kred Island, known for Mon pottery and local snacks. Visit a pottery workshop, then learn to make kanom krok, a coconut dessert, in a traditional riverside home.

Day 5: Bangkok to Chiang Mai | Flavors of the North

Fly to Chiang Mai, a city rich in Lanna heritage and famous for its cuisine. In the evening, join a guided street food tour around the Three Kings Monument, sampling northern Thai specialties in a lively local setting.

Day 6: Chiang Mai | Natural Dyeing & Textile Art

Take part in a full-day workshop at Patricia Cheesman’s textile studio. Learn about traditional Lao and Thai textiles, practice natural dyeing and Japanese Shibori techniques, and create your own hand-dyed fabric to take home.

Day 7: Chiang Mai | Craft Villages & Textile Traditions

Visit local craft villages to see silk weaving in San Kamphaeng, painted umbrellas in Bor Sang, and traditional ceramics. End the day at the Pa-Da Cotton Textile Museum, housed in a former royal residence.

Day 8: Chiang Mai | Museum Insights & Thai Cooking

Join a private tour of the Chiang Mai National Museum with Professor Pongdej Chaiyakut for a deep dive into Lanna art and history. In the afternoon, learn to cook classic Thai dishes at Boonpratana House.
