Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi: A Slow Introduction to Local Life

Dinner included | Private car & private guide

Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport and meet your private driver for a transfer to your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter or a nearby heritage area. Early check-in or luggage storage will be arranged where possible, allowing time to rest after your journey.

In the afternoon, enjoy a gentle walking experience through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, focusing on everyday local life rather than tourist landmarks. Wander through traditional guild streets, family-run shops, and local markets. Stop at a locally owned café that supports ethical coffee sourcing in Vietnam.

In the evening, dine at a locally owned or social-enterprise restaurant that supports community employment. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi: Craft, Culture & Food

Breakfast & Lunch included | Private guide & private car

After breakfast, visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, with a focus on education, cultural values, and heritage rather than fast sightseeing.

Continue to a traditional craft space or artisan workshop, where you’ll meet local makers and learn about craft preservation and cultural continuity.

Enjoy a light lunch featuring seasonal Vietnamese dishes at a family-run restaurant.

In the afternoon, participate in a small-group cooking class using fresh market ingredients. Learn about ingredient origins, Vietnamese food culture, and simple zero-waste cooking tips.

The evening is free at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi to Sapa: Community & Landscape

Breakfast & Lunch included | Sleeper bus · Private guide in Sapa

Depart Hanoi early by shared sleeper bus to Sapa, helping reduce the carbon footprint of the journey. Enjoy scenic views of northern Vietnam’s countryside along the way.

Arrive in Sapa around midday and have lunch at a local restaurant using regional ingredients.

In the afternoon, begin a light, non-touristy walk through villages inhabited by H’Mong or Red Dao communities. Walk along rice terraces, small village paths, and farmland. With permission, visit local homes to learn about daily life, traditional farming practices, and textile-making.

There are no staged performances or souvenir-focused stops.

Check in to your homestay or hotel in the evening. Overnight in Sapa.
